Harvard alumni outraged after president accused of plagiarizing dissertation
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (TND) — Harvard University alumni are speaking out after researchers Christopher Rufo and Christopher Brunet revealed school president Claudine Gay may have plagiarized her doctoral dissertation.
In a report released Sunday, Rufo and Brunet detailed accusations that Gay lifted entire sections of text from other academics to pad her own paper. This dissertation was then submitted to Harvard for review in 1997, allowing Gay to obtain her Doctor of Psychology degree and eventually become the school’s leading administrator.

Officials looking to provide funding boost to Centre County affordable housing projects
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Affordable housing in Centre County could be getting a two-million-dollar boost.
The county is looking to spend that amount from extra funding through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
County administrators want the money to go to an affordable housing related construction or development project.
“If we have an affordable housing group like Housing Transitions, the Two Landlords, or Habitat for Humanity, and they have the ability to use some, or a fraction of the two million dollars to really accelerate a project that they have already started or are about ready to start.
98-year-old State College man runs to top of Mount Washington, but he isnt done yet
STATE COLLEGE – We hear the term "age is nothing but a number" quite often but a man in State College is proving it. Despite being in his late 90s, George Etzweiler just finished climbing the highest mountain in Northwestern U.S.
The 98-year-old shows no signs of slowing down, he says it’s as simple as putting one foot down after the other.
“I love to see him go out the door three days a week, headed to the mountains to go running,” daughter Shirly Fye said.
Cambria Co. Sheetz employee tests positive for coronavirus

CARROLLTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — The Sheetz in Carrolltown has been professionally deep cleaned and reopened after an employee there tested positive for COVID-19, officials said Monday.
Officials said the store along Main Street was closed Sunday due to the coronavirus concerns.
They said both the inside of the store and the gas pumps are now open.

Disgruntled worker shot 5 coworkers including supervisor; 2 people dead
CHESTER, Pa. (TND) — A disgruntled employee is accused of shooting and killing his coworkers at a longstanding business in a Philadelphia suburb, according to officials.
"He shot five people, five coworkers... two are deceased, three are at the hospital. I'm asking everybody in this region that listening today to pray for them right now. They are in serious condition, and we are hopeful that they are able to survive," Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer told local media outlets at the scene Wednesday morning.
Early morning tractor trailer crash stirs Graham Township, details yet to unfold

According to PA511, the multiple vehicle crash involving two tractor trailers in Clearfield County Friday morning prompted all lanes of traffic to be closed. The crash happened on I-80 between Exits 123 and 133.

Just after 6 o'clock Friday morning, two tractor trailers traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 near mile marker 130 crashed, that's according to Clearfield County dispatch.
