Latrobe, PA (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they will be returning to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for training camp.
The team has not held training camp at the college for the past two seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We are very excited to return to Saint Vincent College for our Training Camp later this summer," said Steelers President Art Rooney II. "We always appreciate the support from Saint Vincent as well as the Latrobe community.
13 arrested for operating drug trafficking ring through Elk, Erie counties
ELK COUNTY, Pa — Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the arrests of 13 individuals on Thursday who were part of a major drug trafficking ring in Elk and Erie counties.
Authorities say the individuals were trafficking heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
“While we lose 14 Pennsylvanians a day to drug overdoses, these individuals peddled poisons into our communities with total disregard for the consequences,” said Attorney General Shapiro. “We’re committed to shutting down these dangerous, illegal trafficking operations, keeping Pennsylvania neighborhoods safe, and saving lives.
13-year-old boy charged with setting fire at Ligonier Beach
LIGONIER - A 13-year-old boy is being charged in juvenile court with setting fire to the snack bar area of a popular attraction in Westmoreland County.
The fire at the Ligonier Beach Restaurant, Lounge and Swimming Pool was reported shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday and confined to a snack bar and bathhouse area.
Westmoreland County authorities aren't identifying the suspect because of his age, but say the boy rode his bicycle to the business before setting the fire.
Former police officer sentenced to jail time in DuBois bar shooting
DUBOIS, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Clearfield County say a former police officer has been sentenced to jail time after pleading guilty to various charges in connection to a shooting last February at a DuBois-area bar.
Officials say Zachery Dodson appeared in court Wednesday where he was sentenced to serve 1 to 2 years in either the Jefferson or Clarion county jail, following by 96 months (8 years) of probation.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania's state Senate approved a bill Wednesday to move up the state's 2024 primary election by five weeks to March 19, aiming to avoid a conflict with the Jewish holiday of Passover and give voters more of a say in deciding presidential nominees.
The bill passed, 45-2, although it still requires passage in the state House of Representatives.
Under the bill, the primary election would move from April 23 to March 19, the same primary date as in Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Kansas and Arizona.
SomCo group opposing 1,000 foot wide cut into Allegheny Mountain
The area of the Allegheny Mountain Tunnel along the Pennsylvania Turnpike would instead be a 1,000-foot-wide gash in the mountain if plans by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission follow through.
Chairman of a group called ‘Citizens to Save the Allegheny Mountain Randy Musser said the environmental effects that could be caused make this a "destructive plan."
The Turnpike Commission said there are multiple reasons this project is needed. Those reasons include an increased accident rate in and approaching the tunnel, both directions of the tunnel need "

JASPER, Ala. (TND) — An Alabama radio station reported its 200-foot tower as stolen Monday.
WJLX’s landscaping crew arrived at the property in Jasper on Feb. 2 for a routine cleanup when it noticed the tower was gone, according to the station.

Catch the first show Tuesday evening as the full moon rises in the southeast, appearing slightly brighter and bigger than normal. That's because it will be closer than usual, just 222,159 miles (357,530 kilometers) away, thus the supermoon label.
