Man charged for firing 14 shots across Clearfield County roadway

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Clearfield Borough Police Department say a local man is facing charges after he allegedly fired over a dozen gunshots across a local roadway. Police say 30-year-old Shawn Youngblood is accused of firing approximately 14 rounds across Bigler Ave. in late February. Investigators say surveillance video from a nearby business allegedly showed Youngblood fire the gun while he appears to be intoxicated. Police say at one point, Youngblood appears to aim the gun at a passing car but does not pull the trigger until after the car has left.

Residents speak out against Rutters construction

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, or the DEP, held a public hearing in Smithfield Township on Wednesday evening. All of this because of proposed construction by the convenience store chain Rutters taking place next to the Old Crow Wetland. According to the Unites States Environmental Protection Agency, many species of birds and mammals rely on wetlands for food, water and shelter. Scientists are also beginning to realize that atmospheric maintenance may be an additional wetlands function.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs accused of sexual assault by another woman

(TND) — Another woman is accusing Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexual assault in a new lawsuit filed on Thursday. Documents obtained by CNN report April Lampros met the rapper in 1994 when she was a student at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology and accuses Combs of sexually assaulting her four times between the mid-1990s and early 2000s. The complaint further accuses him of battery, assault, negligent infliction of emotional distress and violation of the victims of gender-motivated violence protection law.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Sheetz officials say they’re celebrating Truck Driver Appreciation Week by cutting diesel fuel prices. They announced Thursday they’re reducing diesel prices by 35 cents per gallon at all their locations. It’s the 35th year for Truck Driver Appreciation year. Sheetz says they’re also decreasing their diesel exhaust fluid prices to 99 cents per gallon at the pump. “Truck drivers positively impact the fabric of everyday American life,” said Travis Sheetz, President & CEO of Sheetz.

Clearfield County cemetery is off limits to visitors

PENFIELD - People in Clearfield County are being stopped from visiting the graves of loved ones. People with family buried at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Penfield said they noticed a fence with a no trespassing sign sometime last week around the graveyard. Property records show Bruce Gerber owns the property. People visiting the cemetery said they were told Gerber is stopping them from entering because of liability issues. 6 News tried calling a number believed to be Gerber's but those calls were not returned.

'Take Back Title IX Tour' protests transgender athlete at US Women's Open golf tournament

(WHP) — The "Take Back Title IX" tour, a nationwide bus tour with female athletes and coaches from across the country, was rallying Friday in Pennsylvania against an athlete that had the potential to play in the U.S. Women’s Open. Hailey Davidson, a transgender athlete, was selected as a first alternate for the U.S. Women’s Open, which is being held at the Lancaster Country Club. Lancaster Pride president Tiffany Shirley said she give props to the PGA for supporting trans athletes.
