Pizza shop owner facing charges for indecent contact with underage employees
PORTAGE, Pa. (WJAC) — A Portage man and pizza shop owner is facing charges after police said he had indecent contact with his underage employees, according to a criminal complaint.
Investigators said 37-year-old Craig Mazzarese, owner of Craig Mazz’s Pizza in Portage, made sexual comments, exposed himself and inappropriately touched at least one of his employees this past summer.
One of the victims, a 16-year-old, told police that Mazzarese would make sexually suggestive comments about her appearance and what she was wearing.

Dozens of community leaders gathered at the Holiday Inn -- along Market Street in Downtown Johnstown -- where the Secretary’s Award for Municipal Excellence was presented.
It's the first award of it's kind, which will be given out once a year to a community in Pennsylvania that is "driving momentum for change.
Anti-Israel demonstrators gather after UT Austin commencement
AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) — Although the University of Texas at Austin’s commencement ceremony on Saturday was free of protests, a small group of anti-Israel demonstrators gathered at the Lyndon B. Johnson Lawn after the ceremony wrapped up.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were in attendance. KEYE's Monique Lopez said it was hard to tell how many there were, but she could “feel their presence.”
President Jay Hartzell released a video last week, pleading for a quiet and peaceful ceremony.

Penn State to debut retro uniforms Sept. 30 against Indiana
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State will debut throwback uniforms when the football team plays Indiana on Sept. 30.
But the uniforms won't call to mind just one bygone era.
The white helmets will sport blue numbers on the sides, like the team wore from the 1950s through the early `70s. The players will also wear white cleats calling to mind the 1979 Sugar Bowl. The jerseys will have white trim on the shoulders, as they were during the 1982 and 1986 national championship seasons.

Monroeville police say two groups of four to five males began fighting at about 8 p.m. Friday, and the brawl spilled outside, where one person pulled a gun and fired about 10 shots. No injuries were reported.
The mall, about 17 miles (27.36 kilometers) east of Pittsburgh was placed on lockdown and later evacuated.

Is Threads a Twitter killer?
(TND) — Meta debuted Threads this week in a move seen as direct competition for Twitter.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg boasted of 70 million sign-ups already on Threads by Friday morning.
“Way beyond our expectations,” he posted on his new platform.

Ivan Boesky, Wall Street trader implicated in major scandal, dies at 87
Ivan F. Boesky, the flamboyant stock trader whose cooperation with the government cracked open one of the largest insider trading scandals on Wall Street, has died at the age of 87.
His daughter Marianne Boesky told The New York Times on Monday that he died in his sleep, and his wife confirmed Boesky's death to The Washington Post. No cause of death was given.
The son of a Detroit delicatessen owner, Boesky was once considered one of the richest and most influential risk-takers on Wall Street.
Last Sunday mass at DuBois catholic church set for Feb. 19
DUBOIS - The final plans of parish restructuring in the Northern Vicariate of the Catholic Diocese of Erie will take effect this month in 13 northwestern Pennsylvania counties.
In DuBois, the last Sunday Mass at St. Joseph's Church will be on Feb.19, Father Richard Siefer said.
The parish has merged into St. Michael Archangel Catholic, making St. Joseph's a secondary church.
