Philipsburg woman sentenced up to 8 years in prison for role in fatal overdose

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — A Philipsburg woman will spend several years behind bars for her role in the fatal overdose of a 26-year-old man earlier this year. Shianna Lambert appeared in Centre County court on Tuesday where she was sentenced to serve 4 to 8 years in state prison. In June, Lambert was charged with drug delivery resulting in death following the investigation into a fatal fentanyl overdose in Spring Township.

Robert Fennell has filed a lawsuit against Eastern Region Deputy Secretary Michael Wenerowicz and SCI Smithfield Superintendent Eric Tice after three pairs of Timberland boots were confiscated and he was not reimbursed following the DOC mandate on hard-sole boots.

Clearfield County prothonotary throws latest jab in dispute

CLEARFIELD - A back and forth dispute in Clearfield County saw another jab thrown Friday. Clearfield County Clerk of Court Brian Spencer responded to Warden Greg Collins letter where Collins said that Spencer has not contacted him in a professional manner to address concerns with the handling of court documents relating to the transfer of inmates and other court related matters. Spencer responded by saying that his deputy prothonotary did try to contact Collins by phone and left a message to discuss the concerns.

DUBOIS, Pa. — Danone North America announced the opening of a new building and addition to its assembly line at the company's DuBois location Friday. Officials said the plant on Oklahoma Salem Road is the largest production facility making plant-based yogurt alternatives in the country. Research tool used to track fish stolen from Bilger's Rocks

GRAMPIAN - A piece of equipment vital to scientific research was stolen from a stream in Clearfield County, according to police. Police said the equipment was owned by the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) and taken from a stream located on the property of Bilger’s Rocks in Grampian. An SRBC official said the equipment was used to track the patterns of fish in waters impacted by mine drainage. He said there are six of the trackers throughout Clearfield County’s watershed and estimated each one costs approximately $5,000.
