
JOHNSTOWN - A Pizza Hut spokesperson said Tuesday that they plan to hire 14,000 delivery drivers by the end of the year, including several in the region.
According to the Pizza Hut website, a number of driver positions in the area need to be filled, as well as variety of other jobs.
The hiring spree comes just a few months after the Yum Brand group revealed plans to invest $130 million in the struggling pizza chain to upgrade equipment, improve restaurant technology and boost advertising spending through 2018.
Pizza Hut plans to add about 3,000 new full- and part-time drivers every month until the end of the year.
The chain is looking to fill 44 job openings in Altoona and 42 in Johnstown.
There are openings in several other counties as well, including Jefferson, Clearfield, Elk, Somerset, Huntingdon and Centre counties.
